Having grown up in Charlotte, NC at B.B. Dance Productions, Kia has studied dance since the age of 3. During her competitive years, Kia was awarded Overall First Place honors in all levels of performance. She graced the stage as a soloist, in duets and trios as well as small and large groups in all styles of dance. Some of the most memorable performances for Kia were the Apollo Theater in New York when she was only 14 years old and the Walt Disney World stage in Orlando, Florida.

Kia furthered her dance career at the University of N.C. at Greensboro graduating with a Degree in Dance. While at UNCG, Kia was on the cheerleading squad for 3 years and then led her college dance team her senior year. Upon graduation, Kia moved to New York to study professionally at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater.

Excited to be back home in Charlotte, Kia continued performing as part of the Charlotte Bobcats dance team from 2009-2014, in which she spent 3 of those seasons as captain. Her most recent performance was the filming of the movie, Bolden. She has also had the opportunity to perform with local music artists, including Big Mike of Day 26.

Kia has had the opportunity to study with the notable choreographers such as Bubba Carr, Cici Kelley, Hinton Battle, Tracy Inman and Elena Comendador. She is excited to share the expertise that she has gained and her love of all things dance.
