CO-DIRECTOR, Z PRO PREP CHARLOTTE/
FOUNDER, THE DANCE DISTRICT
For every major accomplishment, Ana Ogbueze (Pronounced Oh-Boy-Zee) can pinpoint the moment when she knew God stepped in to make things happen.
Ana is a North Carolina native and graduate of UNCC who has trained at top dance studios in London, New York, and L.A. She has studied with industry professionals such as Dondraico Johnson, Aisha Francis, Laurie Ann Gibson and most recently, Shaun T (creator of CIZE and INSANITY fitness programs). She has performed for more than 80,000 screaming NBA fans, but most importantly Ana re-dedicated her life to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
As the founder of THE DANCE DISTRICT: Charlotte's 1st industry style hip-hop dance studio for adults, Ana has proven to be a fearless pioneer in the Charlotte dance community. A non-traditional dancer to say the least, Ana began training in her living room before receiving formal training at the age of 15. Professionally, she began as an NBA Dancer (4 seasons) and progressed into being a sought after Dancer, Choreographer and Creative Director. Ana’s choreography and creative direction has been featured in music videos, short films and live shows throughout the Southeast.
In an effort to spread the love of dance, Ms. Ogbueze launched a program called, “Project: FULLOUT” - A Hip Hop Dance Showcase for Adults and Aspiring Dancers! This program celebrates all dancers with dreams of dancing on the “big stage” and creates performance opportunities that empower, educate and inspire the Charlotte dance community. This annual showcase challenges dancers to put their skills to work and leave it all on the stage, going FULL OUT! Ana also extends her teaching talents to special needs students by working with the “Just Dance” program. Her enthusiastic teaching style connects with the students to keep them engaged throughout the dance experience.
A few of Ana’s major staples include dancing and co - choreographing for the ShaunT Dance/Fitness program CIZE, guest spots on "One Tree Hill" and "Hall Pass", touring with the Oxygen Network’s “Dance You’re A$$ Off”, and appearing in a Coca-Cola commercial.
Motto: "Dream Big and Dance Even BIGGER.”
